Mk3
After the discontinuation of the Mk2.5 in 2005, Mazda released the Mk3 MX-5, whilst not as critically acclaimed as the Mk1 and Mk2, partly down to the total overhaul of every part of the car, the Mk3 MX-5 was still a success story in its own right with production spanning 10 years with 2 facelifts in that time and countless special editions. A 1.8l engine was now the base option as the Mk3 had gained a little weight and was definitely bigger than the previous iterations, the top models received a 2l engine and an lsd as standard. Whilst the Mk3's looks had drastically changed, the way it drove was still very much an MX-5 albeit a little more refined. Production ceased in 2015.
