Penrite Classic Engine Oil
"Modern lubricants do not necessarily suit older vehicles, the oils are often too thin, and the additive packages suit today's advanced engineering and materials, not those used in the design and manufacture of your classic. Penrite oils are blended from high quality base stocks, combined with additives selected to give the best performance and reduced oil consumption whilst giving better oil pressure, increased engine protection and reducing the build up of sludge deposits. Penrite's philosophy of meeting and exceeding original requirements extends across their range of lubricants.
Penrite’s Classic oil is specifically made for petrol and diesel engines manufactured between 1950 and 1975. A mineral oil formulated for most post-war classics. These oils meet API SG/CD standards and are available in 3 grades to replace the traditional SAE ratings.
A 20W-60 oil which replaces SAE30 and 20W-50 oils. A mineral oil formulated particularly for high performance vehicles such as Triumph, MG, Porsche and Jaguar. Also suitable for cars with six volt electrical systems; where starter motor cranking speeds require an engine to turn over with minimal drag. Formerly known as Penrite HPR30.
A 25W-70 oil which replaces SAE40 oils, formulated for many car engines and post war motor cycles. Contains a complete additive pack, and due to the quality of its components will provide improvements in hot oil pressure and oil consumption compared to lighter grades. Formerly known as Penrite HPR40.
A 40W-70 multigrade oil ideal in engines that require a SAE50 monograde or where Castrol was originally recommended. Ideal for both cars and motorcycles using ball and roller bearings. Formerly known as Penrite HPR50.
